My products are made by an EU manufacturer. Isn't the obligation theirs?

Not necessarily. The obligated "producer" is whoever first places the packaging on the German market. If you sell under your own name or brand — even if a third party manufactures for you — you are the producer.

Amazon offers Pay on Behalf. Doesn't that make me compliant?

No. It's a payment mechanism: Amazon pays eco-contributions and charges them back with a fee. It does not appoint a representative, does not cover your legal responsibility, and only exists on Amazon — your own store, Kaufland or B2B sales are untouched.

Amazon's own documentation describes it as a fee-payment service, not a compliance service.

What does the representative take over — and what stays with me?

The representative assumes your producer obligations in their own name. The single exception by law: the LUCID registration is your personal duty. We prepare it with you so it takes minutes.

I only ship a few parcels a month. Is there a small-seller exemption?

No. German packaging law applies from the first packaged item — no minimum threshold. The obligation is the same regardless of volume.

Can you guarantee my listings are back within X days?

No — be careful with anyone who does. Registration depends on the authority and your cooperation. What we guarantee: written confirmation of every step, and you don't sign or pay until our registration is active.
